Presently, Dr Yasser Masood is working as Consultant Child Specialist & Neonatologist at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad.
He did his MBBS from the King Edward Medical College Lahore. He completed FCPS Pediatrics from Children’s Hospital Lahore. Later he went to the UK and completed highly competitive specialist training in Paediatrics and Neonatology.
He is certified by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London and by the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan. He is one of the very few doctors in this field in Pakistan who have completed formal training in Pakistan and the UK and hold both FCPS and CCT in Pediatrics.
During his training he has worked in some of the leading University teaching hospitals in the UK including Royal Hospital for Sick Children Glasgow, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital,Manchester. He has worked as a Consultant Neonatologist at St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester, England, one of the largest & busiest maternity and neonatal units in the UK.
He has also worked in Royal Manchester Children Hospital which is one of the biggest children’s hospitals in Europe and has experience of working in Pediatric Neurology, Nephrology, Developmental Pediatrics and Metabolic Medicine.
His special professional interests include premature and low birth weight babies, growth problems, neurological disorders, infections, respiratory problems, and vaccinations.
